Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger says that every player and team in the NFL was told the risks of playing this season with a pandemic.

In Tennessee, the Titans are dealing with nine cases of coronavirus, five of those are players, but as of now the NFL is moving forward with Sunday’s 1 p.m. game.

The Titans training facility will be closed until Saturday, giving the team a miniscule about of time to prepare for the Steelers and Roethlisberger says that’s just the way it is.

“We were told during training camp that this could happen, if you’re not diligent, you’re not careful and I don’t know what’s going on down there (in Tennessee) so I’m not going to speak on them but I’m telling you what we were told,” said Roethlisberger.

He adds if the Steelers were dealing with COVID cases, their facility would be closed until Friday or Saturday and they would still play on Sunday.

“It’s why they made the rule of more practice squad guys this year and so we were made aware of those possibilities, and so I don’t want to say it is what it is but that’s why the plan was put in place, to have guys to be prepared,” said Roethlisberger.

“I know in Pittsburgh and I’m sure down there in Tennessee too are being diligent and not going out and going reckless and being careful, I mean I’m home schooling my kids, we’re not having guests over at the house I mean you have to do those things if you want to play the games on Sunday.”

Roethlisberger adds the Titans just have to deal with their situation and get ready to play on Sunday.

“We’re preparing to play a game Sunday like we should be and they need to prepare to play the game Sunday however they need to do it,” said Roethlisberger.
