Pittsburgh is the best place in the world for many reasons.

One of our favorite though is when fans spot players in real life and call in or let us know what they’re up to.

We got updates from callers who saw Le’Veon Bell at a South Side convenience store back when he was holding out with the Steelers.

NBC Sports’ Ryan Burr raised some eye brows on Tuesday after he said that Roethlisberger is in the best shape of his life and that his diet is even better than Tom Brady’s.

Burr got his reports from a source in Roethlisberger’s camp that he has a personal chef that is helping Big Ben get leaner.

Radio reporter Bob Greenburg with WLLF in Mercer, PA shared a video of Ben at a golf course in Hermitage, PA.

Greenburg says that the owner of Tam O’Shanter golf course John Kerins told him that Roethlisberger “looked in great shape.”

If Roethlisberger is in the best shape of his life, that’s awesome, good for him. But he is still 39-years-old and only has possibly one more shot at greatness, so he needs to prove it, beginning later this month when Training Camp starts.

With a brand new offensive line, a new offensive coordinator and playbook, a new running back and more, it’s going to take more than a lean body for the Steelers to try to win again in the playoffs.
