PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – All of the big plays from Sunday Night Football turned into Monday morning football and a 20-17 loss to the Cowboys.

1st quarter

·      Now 7 of 8 on field goals 50-plus yards this season, Cowboys second-year kicker Brandon Aubrey hit a 55-yard FG into the closed end, 3-0 Dallas

·      Justin Fields directed Najee Harris where to line up on a 3rd and 2 and then found him in the flat and Harris ran hard for 15 yards and a 1st down at the Dallas 30—ended in 41-yard FG from Chris Boswell, 3-3

·      Nick Herbig blew up a handoff for a 6-yard loss, but on 3rd and 14, CeeDee Lamb makes a tremendous tightrope catch on the sidelines for 27 yards

·      Last play of 1st quarter, 3rd & 6, TJ Watt & Nick Herbig met at Prescott. Watt forced a fumble that Herbig recovered at the Steelers 20-yard line

2nd quarter

·      His grandfather is Burgettstown HS grad & University of Wisconsin legend Barry Alvarez, Dallas TE Jake Ferguson caught a 27-yard pass to move Dallas to the Steelers 13 and another Aubrey FG, 6-3 Dallas

·      On 3rd and 4, Prescott found Jalen Tolbert wide open behind Donte Jackson for 48 yards to the Steelers 31-yard line at the 2-minute warning

·      With 51 seconds to play, Prescott appears to rush a snap with Montravius Adams late to get on the field and threw a ball short to the corner of the end zone, picked off by Donte Jackson and out of bounds at the 2-yard line.

3rd quarter

·      With Justin Fields rocked by a hit from Tyrus Wheat that forced him to have a concussion test, on his second play Kyle Allen threw a perfect pass to Pat Freiermuth of 19 yards to move the ball to the Dallas 33 and seemed to spark the Steelers offense.

·      3 completions by Fields later, Fields hit an open Connor Heyward for a 16 yard touchdown as he bulled into the end zone.  10-6 Steelers

·      Dallas had a 34-yard completion on third down deep into Steelers territory, a TJ Watt sack helped half the drive then Isaiahh Loudermilk BLOCKED the 38-yard field goal attempt.

4th quarter

·      Rico Dowdle accounts for 55 yards on a 16-play, 90-yard drive that ends with Prescott rolling out right and finding Dowdle wide open in the end zone, the RB drove to make the catch and a 13-10 Dallas lead with 13:51

·      Dallas starting to move the ball and Prescott took a shot and overthrew Tolbert and it was intercepted by Joey Porter, Junior and returned to the Steelers 37-yard line

·      Justin Fields and Najee Harris each with tough, short runs to get first downs, Fields found George Pickens for 22 yards on a 3rd and 1 and then a late hit on Pickens to take it to the Dallas 7-yard line.

·      Fields with a shovel pass to Pat Freiermuth who battled the last five yards for a six-yard touchdown as part of a 12-play drive, Steelers lead 17-13 with 4:56 to play

·      Dallas covered a pair of third downs on a drive that started on their own 30-yard line, then on fourth-and-goal from the Steelers four-yard line, after a time out by Dallas and then the Steelers, Prescott hits Tolbert with a combat 4-yard TD with DeShon Elliott defending to take a 20-17 lead with 20 seconds left. It was a 15-play drive to win the game.
