Starting offensive lineman back with Steelers

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Steelers bringing back one of their free agent offensive linemen.

NFL Network reporting starting right tackle Chukwuma Okorafor will return with a three-year contract worth $29.95 million with $20.5 million in the first two seasons according to the NFL Network. The 6’6”, 320-pound Okorafor has started 35 games in his career, appearing in 46. He was a third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and is just 24-years-old.

Pro Football Focus ranked Okorafor 61st among tackles in 2021, up from 70th in 2020.  He’s the 20th ranked tackle in the free agent class.  He is also the youngest free agent tackle and one of only six under 30.

Earlier on Monday the Steelers officially announced the signing of safety Arthur Maulet to a two-year contract.  The team is expected to sign quarterback Mitch Trubisky to a two-year deal when the new NFL season begins at 4p on Wednesday.
