Liberty quarterback Malik Willis had himself an impressive pro day on Tuesday, one that Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, General Manager Kevin Colbert, offensive coordinator Matt Canada and Pro Personnel Coordinator Brandon Hunt were in attendance for.

The Steelers have been reportedly very interested Willis and them showing up in force for Liberty’s Pro Day is a pretty good indication that they still are.

Willis told reporters that he had dinner with Tomlin on Monday night.

“He was just eating chicken wings. He’s a good dude,” Willis told reporters.

After attending Pitt’s Pro Day on Monday and then traveling to Virginia to have dinner with Willis that very night shows they are interested in the talented QB.

Some of Willis’ highlights from Tuesday:

The Steelers have signed Mitch Trubisky in free agency but that doesn’t mean they won’t draft Willis if he is still available.

Many believe that Willis is still raw and needs time to develop. That would give Trubisky a year or two as a “bridge” quarterback until Willis is ready.
