Joel Embiid is doubtful to play in Wednesday's Game 5 against the Wizards, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

"I'm told largely there's optimism around the knee, that this is not a serious injury," Woj said Tuesday night on ESPN. "This is not necessarily something that's going to keep him out, but there's more testing that's going to be done."

The Sixers' 27-year-old All-Star center injured his right knee when taking a fall in Game 4 of the Sixers-Wizards series on Monday night. Embiid had an MRI today and is "expected to be evaluated further," per Woj.

Embiid left the game with eight points, six rebounds and two assists in 11 minutes and did not return. The Sixers went on to suffer their first loss of the series without Embiid.

Embiid is averaging 24.0 points and 6.8 rebounds in 23.8 minutes per game in the series.

Game 5 between the Sixers and Wizards is Wednesday night in Philadelphia.
