Howie Roseman talked about the trade he made with the New Orleans Saints a couple of weeks ago, highlighting the fact that the organization is committed to helping develop quarterback Jalen Hurts for the long-term.
"We're excited about Jalen Hurts," Roseman said on Wednesday. "We're going to support Jalen and we want him to have a great career in Philly. This was about flexibility for our team and about making sure we have resources to improve our team, for not only this year's draft but next year's draft going forward. We thought it made a lot of sense.
"Kind of balancing scouting all of the players in this draft and next year's draft and having more options and more flexibility at all positions. We thought it made sense."
This is the third time Roseman has publicly stated that the team is confident in Hurts as the starting quarterback, despite rumors about them pursuing big names at the position this offseason. Having said that, it's not like the general manager would ever say anything differently.
