It might be Year 14 for Steph Curry, but he’s still bouncing around the gym like a teenager.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr joined 95.7 The Game’s “Steiny & Guru” to discuss the upcoming season and shared a nugget from Monday’s practice about Curry.

As the team started off the session with some basic drills on footwork and ball-handling, associate head coach Kenny Atkinson walked over to him and couldn’t help but notice Steph’s energy.

“Steph is laughing and he’s going through all the drill work and Kenny goes, ‘It looks like he’s a sophomore at Davidson,” Kerr said. “That’s how much joy he brings to practice.”

Steph is a four-time champ, a two-time MVP, a first-ballot Hall of Famer and now he’s got his Finals MVP on the mantle. After winning another title without Kevin Durant against a healthy Finals opponent, he’s got nothing to prove.

Judging from Kerr’s comments, we should see a free and easy Steph in 2022-23.

“He’s 34 and he’s been in the league for a dozen years, he’s got three kids, he’s got all kinds of stuff going on,” Kerr said. “At his core, Steph is all about the game and his love for the game and his teammates, competition. He brings that joy everyday and it just permeates through the whole organization.”
