3. Beginning Monday November 17th at 6:00am (CT) through Friday, Wednesday, December 31st, 2025 at 11:59pm (CT) (the “Nomination Period”), students, faculty, employees, administrators, and/or alumni of any of the Eligible High Schools, as well as friends and family members of all above mentioned individuals or any member of the general public that are 14 years of age or older, may go to helpmymokanschool.com to submit a nomination (“Entrants/Nominators”) for the school that they believe most deserves a $20,000 Facilities Enrichment Grant.
4. In order for the entry/nomination to be included in the Contest, the Entrant/Nominator must provide the following information: Name of the Eligible High School they are nominating and the town that high school is located in (full address is optional), an essay (only the first 250 words will be read by Station judges) describing why the Eligible High School deserves the $20,000 Facilities Enrichment Grant, Entrant/Nominator’s name, email address and telephone number. Other optional information may be requested but is not required for a valid entry/nomination.
5. Despite the designation of an Eligible High School as a defined term above, no school has been contacted nor has agreed to participate in this Contest. Eligible High Schools were determined by Station based solely on their geographic location and that they offer teaching of grades between 9th grade and 12th grade. Station has not contacted any of the Eligible High Schools to confirm whether or not they would be willing to accept the prize in this Contest should their school win. IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL ENTRANTS/NOMINATORS TO CHECK IN ADVANCE WITH THE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT THE ELIGIBLE SCHOOL INTENDS TO ACCEPT THE PRIZE IN THE EVENT OF SELECTION.
6. Station reserves the right to (but not the obligation) to post some or all of the entry information and/or essays on the Station’s website, in whole or in an edited form (in Station’s discretion). The decision to post any entries/essays is for entertainment purposes only and is not part of the winner selection process in this Contest.
7. By submitting an essay, entrants affirm that the entry is original and does not contain any copyrighted or plagiarized material and agree that Sponsors may (but are not obligated to) read any entry submitted on the air or post it on its website (in whole or in part, edited or unedited) and use entries and essays as the subject of

commentary, humorous or otherwise. By entering this Contest, entrants waive any right to make any claim against Sponsors with respect to any disparaging or other comment made on-air about such entrant’s entry and hereby agrees to indemnify and hold Sponsors harmless from any and all claims, demands, complaints,
loss, damage or expenses (including without limitation reasonable attorney fees) resulting from the information/content contained in each entrant’s entry about themselves, their school or town or any other person mentioned or referenced therein (including, without limitation, if the information/content is communicated by Station verbatim or in any paraphrased form). In no event does Station intend to verify whether or not the information provided in the essay is accurate or not.
How to Win
8. On or about November 17th, 2025 a panel of judges determined by Station will select the one (1) nomination that the panel feels demonstrates the most need (in their sole discretion). Subject to verification of eligibility, compliance with these Contest rules and verbal confirmation by Station from an authorized school administrator that the selected school will accept the prize, one winning school will receive the one (1) Prize.
9. The potential winning Eligible High School listed on the winning entry selected will be contacted by phone by a Station representative. Awarding of the Grand Prize is subject to the selected authorized school representative accepting the terms and conditions of the prize, signing a release agreement relieving the Station and Contest sponsors from all liability related to the Contest and the prize, and written authorization as described in these rules.
10. In order for a school to effectively accept the Grand Prize in this Contest, the Principal or other authorized school board or administrator will be required to sign a release agreement in the form attached hereto as Attachment A and must return an original to Station December 31st, 2025 (or such alternative date for an Alternate Winner as determined by Station, if applicable). The winning school shall provide Station with a copy of its tax ID form and any other documentation Station requires as determined in its sole discretion as a condition of accepting the Grand Prize.
11. If the selected Eligible High School refuses to accept the Grand Prize for any reason or fails to return all required information to Station on or before December 31st, 2025 then the Grand Prize will be forfeited, no substitute prize will be awarded to that school and the Station judges will select another entry that it identifies an Eligible High School demonstrating need (“Alternate Winner”), subject to compliance with these rules. If the Alternate Winner does not accept the Grand Prize or forfeits it for any reason, Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to either select yet another Alternate Winner or not award the Grand Prize at all.
12. The determination of the winning school (or any alternate) will be based solely on the decision of the Station judges.
Prize(s)
13. Up to one (1) “Prize” will be awarded in this Contest. The Prize will be delivered to the School within 10 weeks after Station receives all required information from School.
14. The winning Eligible High School is responsible for paying all applicable local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the value of the prize, as set forth in the Contest rules, and may be issued an IRS 1099 form for all prizes won.
