Missouri AG Bailey on Gardner resignation: 'It's about restoring the rule of law and finding justice for victims'

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office announced this week that Kim Gardner will leave her position as Circuit Attorney effective immediately. Gardner initially planned to resign on June 1.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey believes the expedited departure was necessary.

"There's a new dawn breaking here in St. Louis and the entire region. Safer streets can lead to prosperous communities. It's about restoring the rule of law and finding justice for victims."
