A YouTuber who has already gone viral for videos of an elaborate squirrel obstacle course in his backyard and the glitter bomb he planted for porch pirates who had been stealing his packages, among other things, will now soon have a world record to his name.

Mark Rober is a former NASA engineer whose videos often utilize science to solve real-world annoyances, but for his latest challenge, he reached back to his childhood for inspiration.

Rober has built what is believed to be the longest Hot Wheels track in history.

The record has yet to be officially certified by Guinness, but in a video post on YouTube (natch) Rober shows off his creation.

Built inside a warehouse, the track stretches over half a mile long, and is objectively a good deal more creative than the previous record-holder.

That track was simply a straight line down a road. Rober’s track offers a number of twists and turns and utilized over 75 Hot Wheels speed boosters, a conceit allowed by Guinness.

Once made official, this will be the third Guinness world record Rober has to his name. He also set up the most dominoes using a robot and erected the highest elephant toothpaste tower.
