Sheila Ford Hamp and the Lions have completed their first round of interviews for their next general manager.

And their first three candidates came from within the organization.

Kyle O'Brien, VP of player personnel, has been with the Lions for the past four seasons and 18 total in the NFL.

Lance Newmark, director of player personnel, has been with the Lions since May of 2017 when he was awarded the job by former GM Bob Quinn.

Rob Lohman, director of pro scouting, has been with the team for 14 seasons in various scouting roles.

Hamp and president Rod Wood are still in the early stages of the search, one that Hamp has promised will be 'thorough and comprehensive.'

Former Chiefs and Browns general manager John Dorsey has been one rumored candidate outside the organization.
