PHILADELPHIA – Wednesday’s series finale for the Tigers against the Phillies has been postponed due to the air quality in the Philadelphia area as parts of the country are seeing thick haze from wildfires in Western Canada.
The game will be made up on Thursday at 6:05 p.m.
Tickets from Wednesday’s game will be valid for the game on Thursday, with gates opening at 4:35 p.m. Tickets will be valid for any fans who bought tickets – or parking – directly from the Phillies, from SeatGeek or any other secondary market.
Fans are encouraged to visit phillies.com/postponement for more information regarding tonight's postponed game.
Wednesday’s Yankees-White Sox game in New York City was also postponed due to air quality. Social media posts show a smoky haze blanketing the NYC skyline. That game will also be played Thursday.
The Tigers will enter Thursday's make-up game looking to snap a five-game losing streak, a skid that has seen them drop to third place in the AL Central, entering Wednesday four games behind the Twins.
