It's hard to believe, but we are already at that time of the year. The State Fair of Texas opens in just three weeks from today.
And honestly after the past 18 months, and having the fair last year take the form of a hybrid drive thru experience, we are READY.
And with the fair coming around again means another round of finalists for the Big Tex Choice Awards. Karissa from the State Fair was gracious enough to stop by Miles in the Morning this morning and give Jeff, Rebekah, and Luckey a sample of ALL the finalists this year, and judging by the recipes alone, you can tell the fair this year has gone ALL OUT.
From Deep Fried Seafood Gumbo Balls to Deep-Fried Halloween, we got a little sample of EVERY finalist for Best Taste - Savory AND Best Taste - Sweet, and honestly it was hard to narrow down what tasted the best.
The 2021 State Fair of Texas opens Friday, September 24th and runs through Sunday, October 17th!
