'Returnships' are helping moms get back into the workforce after time away due to Covid

The onslaught of Covid forced a lot of moms to quit their careers in order to take care of their children who were stuck learning from home, unable to attend school in-person.

Now, however, as schools have started to welcome back its students, a lot of women are looking to re-enter the workforce after some two years away, and a lot of people are struggling wondering just how to do so.

Women today are heading back into the workforce thanks to "Returnship" programs, which are return-to-work programs for parents who have taken time off from their careers.

Tami Forman, executive director of Path Forward, gave TODAY a couple of tips to anyone who is looking to enter back into the workforce after a couple of years away.

1 - Define what success means to you
2 - Recognize that going back to work is not selfish
3 - Dedicate a small amount of time consistently
4 - Find physical space
5 - Network, network, network
6 - Invest in yourself
7 - Fill your own cup first
8 - Take risks and be persistent
9 - Get support
10 - Don't hide the gap in your work timeline
