The hacking of the Colonial Pipeline has sent the entire country into a tailspin, with the majority of the East Coast facing a gas shortage.

And people cannot handle it.

Videos and pictures have surfaced of people having fistfights in parking lots, and filling plastic bags and rubbermaid containers with gasoline because of the shortage.

It cannot be reiterated enough of how bad an idea that is, and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission has come out with an official statement of warning to NOT put gasoline in anything other than your vehicle or a gas canister, and especially not in plastic bags.

Adam Sheetz, executive vice president of operations at Sheetz, which operates gas stations in some of the affected states, tells CNN these shortages aren't due to a drop in supply, but are a result of "of extremely high demand causing stores to run out of fuel before the next scheduled delivery."
