Greenwood, TX native Ashton Lee could only think about one thing while he was in California completing US Marine Corp boot camp: Whataburger.
Obviously he did not have access to his favorite treat while across the country, upon his completion of camp, he told his parents that was the first thing he wanted as soon as he landed.
So his parents obliged, and called ahead to a Midland Whataburger asking if they could clear our a few tables for the returning Lee as a "welcome home" surprise.
Not only did they reserve a few tables, the staff welcomed Lee and his family to the restaurant with a special message, gifts, all of his favorite Whataburger treats, and an outpouring of love from his friends and family!
Lee and his family told the Houston Chronicle they are "truly humbled by Whataburger’s generosity and its exceptional customer service."
