About a year ago, 30-year-old Demi Skipper set a challenge for herself called the "Trade Me Project."

Essentially, she wanted to see what items she could procure through a series of trades, and Demi absolutely completed her challenge. In just a year and a half, Demi started with a bobby pin, and turned it into a house!

Skipper documented her series on TikTok and Instagram where she obtained the house in just a year and a half of trading.

After a series of 28 trades, which included obtaining earrings, glasses, a vacuum, a snowboard, and bigger items like cars, tractors, and a Chipotle "celebrity card" worth about $20,000, Skipper, who is from San Francisco, landed a house near Nashville, Tennessee.

Skipper told NBC News, "It’s been so surreal, working towards something every day for more than a year and half, and now I wake up and think: ‘Is this actually real? Is this actually my house?'"

Skipper and her husband now plan to move from California to Tennessee in order to renovate the home, and then go through the entire journey again. She says, "I want to donate the next house I trade to a person who needs it, no mortgage, no rental. There's been a couple of people who have done this once, but no one's crazy enough to do it twice."
