HARRISBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - While some areas of the country are seeing a significant rise in COVID-19 cases, Pennsylvania remains low.
PA is one of eight states seeing a strong decrease, according to Fortune.com
Illinois has the largest decrease with Arizona reporting the largest increase.
On Monday, the PA Department of Health announced 323 new cases to bring the state’s total to 79,121.
630 cases are considered probably and are not confirmed.
28 additional deaths are being reported bringing the total to 6,243.
Of those deaths 4,268 are in residents of nursing or personal care facilities.
There are 16,612 cases of coronavirus in residents and 2,936 among employees of long-term care facilities.
About 5,996 of the state’s cases are in health care workers.
513,909 people have tested negative to date.
