NCAAF Week 5 Parlay Picks: Baylor and USF Moneyline Bets for a Big Payday

Best Moneyline Parlay for Week 5: Baylor to Rebound and USF to Upset Tulane (+327 at BetMGM)

If you're looking for a high-value parlay in Week 5 of the college football season, pairing Baylor and USF moneylines could be the winning ticket. At +327 odds on BetMGM, these two teams offer a strong chance to cash in despite some tricky matchups. Baylor, fresh off a devastating last-second loss to Colorado, is poised to bounce back at home against an undefeated BYU squad, while USF travels to Tulane with upset potential against a Green Wave team that has struggled against quality opponents. Let’s break down why these two moneyline bets make for a sharp parlay play this weekend.

Baylor ML vs. BYU + USF ML at Tulane (+327, BetMGM)

These are two of my favorite moneyline bets of Week 5 in college football, so why not put a small sprinkle on them both to win for +327 odds at BetMGM?

We’ll start with Baylor, who I think is in a perfect spot this weekend to get a win at home. Everyone saw them blow the game last Saturday to Colorado on a last second Hail Mary, and then lose in overtime. It was sickening to watch if you are a Bears fan or alumni, as you had that game in your hands and let it slip through. The public opinion of Baylor after that game is probably going to be at least a bit lower, as most bettors are not going to want to back a team that choked as hard as they did the very next week, especially as a favorite against the opponent they will be facing here.

BYU is undefeated on the season and sitting pristine at 4-0 through four weeks. I don’t think anyone expected them to be as good as they have been, but they have certainly played well above expectations. They demolished a ranked Kansas State team last weekend 38-9, outplaying them in every way, and even had a crowd-pleasing 90-yard punt return for a touchdown that was electric. Now, they are ranked for the first time this year, and are underdogs to an unranked Baylor team. I wonder why that is? The public will be thinking the same thing, and squares will surely bet on BYU getting points.

For the second game, I am betting on USF to upset Tulane on the road, as I just have not been impressed with the Green Wave to this point and have liked what I have seen from the Bulls. Yes, USF has gotten ripped by both Miami and Alabama this season in their losses, but those games were closer than the final score indicates, especially the Alabama game. USF managed to keep it close for three quarters before the Crimson Tide pulled away, They even were within range of the Hurricanes for about a half. Tulane isn’t even close to on the same level as those two teams, and USF has beaten their other two opponents handedly.

Tulane has lost the only two games they have played this season against real competition, but Kansas State and Oklahoma also aren’t on the level of Alabama or Miami. They won their other games against Southeastern Louisiana and Louisiana-Lafayette, but those are teams they should be beating. They even got outgained against the Ragin’ Cajuns 421-355 in that 41-33 win, so they won despite being outplayed. They had two non-offensive touchdowns, a pick-six and kick return, so they got somewhat lucky.

Longshot: Baylor ML, USF ML, North Carolina ML, Appalachian State ML, Penn State ML (+2300)

If you want a longshot lay to sweat for some peanuts, I like this one. I already talked about Baylor and USF. North Carolina had 70 points put on them last week, and no one will want them as a small dog to an undefeated Duke team, so I think they will win outright. Appalachian State also got embarrassed last week and finds themselves as a small dog to an undefeated team this weekend, so another bounceback performance could be coming. Penn State is a -17 favorite, which I think they will cover that line, so taking their ML at home should be safe.
