The NFL playoffs have been known to get a little wild and crazy, especially during Wild Card Weekend. Therefore, it’s fine to make some bets that might seem a little wild and crazy on the surface. It’s just a matter of finding bets that have lucrative odds but aren’t that far-fetched. That’s exactly what we’ve done with our long shot parlay for Wild Card Weekend, which currently has odds of +10431 at BetMGM.
Will Dissly Anytime Touchdown (+375)
Look for Justin Herbert to have a big game and throw for multiple touchdowns on Saturday. For no other reason than the fact that the Houston defense allowed the third-most passing touchdowns in the NFL during the regular season. That means several Chargers could be good anytime TD picks. Dissly is particularly valuable because the Texans were also among the worst at defending tight ends. While Dissly only had two touchdowns during the season, one of them came last week. Plus, with a couple of Chargers wide receivers banged up, Herbert is going to have to look toward Dissly more often, especially in the red zone, giving him a chance to score a touchdown against the Texans.
Derrick Henry 125+ Rushing Yards (+175)
Guess who’s back? After some subpar games in the middle of the season, Henry finished the season with three straight games of at least 138 rushing yards, including 162 rushing yards on 24 carries in a win over the Steelers in Week 16. It’s not hard to envision him hitting 125+ rushing yards again this week. After all, Henry exceeded 125 yards on the ground eight times this season. While the Steelers are good defensively, they also have to worry about Lamar Jackson’s legs. Pittsburgh’s defense has excelled all season at containing mobile quarterbacks, although that could open up some holes for Henry to exploit and have another big game.
Bucky Irving 150+ Rushing and Receiving Yards (+275)
Most expect a high-scoring game between the Bucs and Commanders, which means a lot of touches for Irving. The Commanders yielded the third-most rushing yards during the regular season with opposing rushers gaining 4.8 yards per carry. That’s a great omen for Irving, who is getting a vast majority of the touches in the Tampa backfield. He’s gone over 100 rushing yards three times in his last six games and could easily do the same against Washington. Irving has also sprinkled in some big games catching the ball, giving him a huge upside in terms of total yards against the Commanders.
Dontayvion Wicks 50+ Receiving Yards (+115)
Christian Watson is out and Romeo Doubs is banged up, so Green Bay’s receiving corps will need to be shaken up a little. That opens the door for Wicks to go above and beyond his normal production. Obviously, Jayden Reed is the more obvious candidate to see his targets increase. However, Reed torched the Eagles in Week 1, so they’ll keep close tabs on him. Wicks, meanwhile, didn’t have a catch in Week 1, allowing him to fly under Philly’s radar and surprise them. To be fair, Wicks has accumulated over 40 receiving yards in three of his last five games. He only needs a slight uptick in productivity to get to 50 receiving yards, so this leg of the parlay isn’t that hard to believe.
