PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Eagles have moved on from Kevin Patullo as the team's offensive coordinator.

Head coach Nick Sirianni announced the move Tuesday on social media, two days after the Birds were ushered out of the playoffs in a 23-19 Wild Card loss to the visiting 49ers.

In a statement, Sirianni said he informed Patullo of the decision earlier in the day. "He has been integral to this team's success over the last five years, not only to the on-field product but behind the scenes as a valued leader for our players and organization. I have no doubt he will continue to have a successful coaching career," said Sirianni.

Patullo joined the organization in 2021. He served as passing game coach, then associate head coach, before assuming offensive coordinator duties last season.

Many fans called the offense a constant source of frustration in 2025.

"They clearly underachieved," said Eagles fan Jeremiah Bertin. "I mean, they had all the tools. All the same guys were there pretty much."

In fact, of the Eagles’ 11 offensive starters in Super Bowl LIX, only guard Mekhi Becton departed this past offseason.

Bertin said seeing the Birds trot out repetitive schemes that led to inconsistent play and frequent three-and-outs was not a great way to spend his Sundays. "It was not a really fun watch, especially the last two months," he said. "The playcalling was too conservative. There was no real creativity."

The Eagles have not made it clear whether Patullo will remain on Sirianni’s staff in another role, but 2026 will see the Birds’ fifth offensive coordinator in as many years. Fan Silas Mosher said that does quarterback Jalen Hurts a disservice.

"It’s unfortunate that we just are in this situation yet again," said Mosher. "Jalen Hurts hasn’t had any consistency with offensive coordinators, to where it’s pretty difficult. But this is definitely the right course of action."
