Gary Bryan has been in radio since the age of 17 having started out in Augusta, Georgia. He worked his way up as an air personality at stations like WGCL/Cleveland, WMET/Chicago, KORL/ Honolulu and KYA/San Francisco.
Gary moved into his first programming role at KNBQ/Tacoma after which he launched Z-100 in Portland, OR. In Portland, Gary achieved #1 ratings in 90 days while also hosting the Morning Zoo show which climbed to a 12.9 share in morning drive. From there, Gary programmed and handled PM drive at KUBE-FM in Seattle where his team still holds the record for the highest FM ratings ever in the Seattle market (9.4).
In 1989, Gary Bryan headed to New York to become Program Director at WPLJ-FM. He then crossed the street to join WHTZ (Z-100) to anchor The Z Morning Zoo, which he hosted for three years. In the 1990’s Gary also did a morning talk show at KFRC/San Francisco and he programmed and anchored mornings at KJR-FM in Seattle.
In 2002, Gary was brought on board as morning host at K-EARTH 101 in Los Angeles. Along with his sidekick, Lisa Stanley, Gary has been heard in mornings in L.A. ever since, and recently they have consistently been been the #1 morning show in Los Angeles among 25-54 year olds. They've raised millions of dollars for the Bob Hope USO at LAX, and each year they mount a big event for “Locks of Love” and participate in dozens of charity events throughout the year.
Since 2003, Gary’s weekly show, REWIND with Gary Bryan has been heard on dozens of Classic Hits radio stations across the U.S. every weekend
