Potato Patch Fries Part Of Whats New At Heinz Field This Season

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Part of the Steelers came to Kennywood with “The Steel Curtain” coaster and the bigger “Steelers Country” area.
Now, Kennywood is coming to the home of the Steelers in the form of Potato Patch Fries, with of course, Heinz ketchup!
It was announced Thursday morning that the Kennywood culinary favorite will be available for events at Heinz Field starting this fall.
All of the new features coming to Heinz Field were also debuted including new augmented reality through the Steelers app.
When a user holds the app up to one of the six Super Bowl trophies displayed in the great hall, they will see highlights of that season. The technology can also be used at the Terrible Towel wall.
And that isn’t the only thing moving toward digital in the stadium’s 19th NFL and NCAA football season. Heinz Field is hoping to move away from physical tickets and wants fans to make sure tickets are on their smart phones, but don’t worry, those without smart phones can still their tickets at the ticket office.
The lighting system is also being upgraded above the stadium.
440 new LED bulbs are being installed that will give staff more entertainment opportunities
