30K Oakland Comcast customers without service ahead of 49ers vs. Rams game

Thousands of Comcast customers are experiencing "service disruptions" in Oakland, ahead of the highly anticipated 49ers versus Rams NFC Championship Game.

According to KRON-TV, service is down for nearly 30,000 people following a possible shooting.

Multiple bullets hit a fiber and took down all services to customers in the area, the station reported.

"We deeply apologize for this situation, especially amidst the playoff games taking place today," Comcast officials told the station.

The telecommunications company is working as quickly as possible to restore services, however, it is not yet known when that will be.

KCBS Radio has reached out to Comcast regarding the service disruptions and has reached out to Oakland police regarding the possible shooting.
