The Giants are making a big change to their safety protocols.
Beginning this Friday, people going to a Giants game will not have to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test in order to enter Oracle Park, if they are sitting in socially distanced sections.
People who want to sit in vaccinated sections, which allow groups larger than four to sit together, will still need to bring proof that they finished their inoculations. Children under 15 can accompany their families in the vaccinated sections, but will have to show a negative test.
When the ballpark first reopened to fans over a month ago, every attendee was required to bring some form of documentation.
Masks or other face coverings will still be required at Oracle Park.
The park is also asking people to continue using the MLB Ballpark app to order food and drinks, but walk-up service is now available as well.
