It's not often you think of John Madden and baseball together.
But that was just the case in yet another classic appearance from the coach on KCBS Radio.

"A lot of people asked over the years, 'What was John Madden doing on KCBS?’ This outlier…as part of KCBS," KCBS Radio Anchor Emeritus Stan Bunger said on Tuesday.
It came down to telling tales.
"What made John special was his ability to tell a story," Bunger added.
The Madden Family is holding a public memorial in celebration of John's life on Monday, Feb. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at RingCentral Coliseum in Oakland.
Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.
They cost $32.14, the final score of Super Bowl XI when Coach Madden's Raiders beat the Minnesota Vikings to win their first Super Bowl. All proceeds will be directed to Madden Charities for the benefit of the John Madden Foundation to provide educational opportunities for the youth of Oakland.
