San Francisco Police are asking for the public's help in locating a motorized wheelchair taken from a 60-year-old man during a brazen robbery.
Police said the man was traveling in his motorized wheelchair on Mary St. when four men approached him at about 9 a.m. last Wednesday. One of the suspects allegedly struck the victim’s face and the other suspects dragged the victim out of the chair.
One suspect kicked the victim several times while another got on the wheelchair and rode away towards Mission St., police said in a news release Tuesday.
The man was forced to crawl home. He suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The victim’s Quantum Q6 Edge HD Wheelchair lists for over $2,000.
