The man shot and killed last week in a confrontation with police at San Francisco International Airport has been identified, the San Mateo County Coroner's Office confirmed to KCBS Radio.
Nelson Szeto, a 37-year-old transient, was killed in a shootout on Thursday with police after standing on SFO's BART station platform appearing to brandish a firearm.

Szeto reportedly acted aggressively towards officers attempting to deescalate the situation. Beanbag projectiles were shot at him to try to subdue him. When those efforts failed, ultimately Szeto was shot and killed by the officers.
It was later revealed that the firearm Szeto had on his person was a pellet gun, which uses compressed air to shoot pellets.
Another person was injured in the altercation, a person experiencing homelessness suffered a leg injury and was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The incident has been reported to California's Department of Justice and will be investigated by a state prosecutor.
According to legislation passed in 2020, Assembly Bill 1506, Szeto could be considered to have been armed with a deadly weapon.
The bill's definition of a deadly weapon includes "any loaded weapon from which a shot, readily capable of producing death or other serious physical injury, may be discharged," as reported by KCBS Radio last week.
The shooting is also under investigation by the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office, San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, SFPD Internal Affairs Division (IAD), San Francisco Department of Police Accountability (DPA).
The San Mateo County Coroner's Office would not provide KCBS Radio any more details at the time of publication.
