Authorities are seeking the public's help in tracking down a person of interest in a double murder that happened in San Francisco’s Mission District almost five years ago.

The shooting happened at 16th St. and S. Van Ness Ave. on December 16, 2016. Lindsay Elaine McCollum, 27, and Eddie Wayne Tate, 51, were killed at about 8:46 p.m., shot while inside a wooden box they used for housing along the street. Tate was also known as "Tennessee," police said.

What was previously announced as a $25,000 reward in 2019 was tripled on Friday to $75,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of a suspect in the case.

Police have released a sketch of a person of interest created by a composite artist last month.

Anyone with information is asked to call 415-575-4444 or text TIP411.
