Brad James Adams, 27, is accused of shooting a 22-year-old Santa Rosa resident at the Taco Bell in the 1800 block of Mendocino Ave. He was arrested for attempted homicide on Thursday after being located at a relative's house in Brisbane, the Santa Rosa Police Department reported.

At around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, Taco Bell customers were waiting in the drive-thru lane when an argument began between two drivers. The suspect, later identified as Adams, allegedly began threatening the victim with a handgun, officials said.

As Adams pulled out of the drive-thru he allegedly shot multiple times at the victim, who was unarmed, then fled north in his 2005 white Ford F-150 pickup truck.

The victim was hospitalized with at least one bullet wound causing serious injury, but is expected to survive.

Adams has since been transported back to Santa Rosa and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.

It is not currently known if the suspect and victim knew each other or what prompted the argument.
