The body of a 30-year-old man has been recovered after waves knocked him into the water at a beach just north of Santa Cruz on Tuesday afternoon, just after another man was swept into the water at the same beach over the weekend.
CAL FIRE CZU said that the swimmer had been "swept off the rocks" at Panther State Beach near Davenport. The victim was standing on the rocks went he was pulled into the ocean, officials said.

Witnesses called 911 to report the incident just before 4 p.m., authorities tweeted. Multiple agencies – including the U.S. Coast Guard, CAL FIRE, the Santa Cruz Fire Department and Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office – and "several swimmers" assisted in the search effort.
The body was located a short time later. Rescue teams had to wait for the tide to recede to retrieve the victim.
The victim has not yet been identified.
According to CAL FIRE CZU, this incident follows a similar one from Sunday, in which a male, 26, walked into the surf at Davenport Beach and called for help.
Despite rescue efforts, that victim still hasn’t been found.
CAL FIRE CZU tweeted about the incident Wednesday, cautioning people to "Please stay off the rocks, and be aware of powerful rip currents."
