Two 19-year-olds reported to police on Nov. 28 that they had been driving on 19th Ave. when they accidentally struck the rear bumper of a car in front of them. The duo drove to a side street to assess damage, but noticed the other vehicle was speeding at them and heard gunfire.

The young victims fled, but the suspect followed them to 15th Ave. and Irving St. where he emerged from his vehicle holding a handgun. The suspect demanded money for the damage caused in the collision and ordered them to follow him to a different location, police said.

The three met at Kezar Stadium to exchange funds. Following the ordeal, the 19-year-olds discovered a bullet lodged inside the driver's side footwell of their car.

Police conducted an investigation, identifying Scott as the suspect and gained a search warrant for his home. Following Scott's arrest, police also seized two polymer rifles, one polymer handgun, various rifle and handgun magazines and over 1300 rounds of ammunition.
