Amid extreme white out conditions, a 20-car pile-up has been reported in Nevada.
At least six patients have been transported to a local hospital as officials continue to assess the damage from the multiple vehicle-crash southbound U.S. 395 in Washoe Valley.

Officials confirmed that there are injuries and warned travelers avoid the area near Bowers Ext. as the road is closed and driving conditions are highly dangerous.
"If you do not need to be out today, please stay home," Washoe police asked.
Conditions are extreme in Washoe Valley with 50 mile per hour winds and an intense snowstorm.
The uninjured were transported to the Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue station for shelter. Officials said they are working to find a way for them to get home.
The I-80 from the Nevada state line to Colfax has been closed in both directions since Saturday due to the winter storm. The National Weather Service said the area may see up to 20 feet of snow.
