
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – A woman has been arrested in Oakland after allegedly stealing a police car, leading officers on a wild chase around the Bay Area.

At around 8 p.m. Friday, an Oakland Police Department patrol car was stolen from the 500 block of Lake Park Avenue, authorities reported.
Oakland police and officers from California Highway Patrol chased the car from Oakland to Vallejo where the suspect crashed into a pole, causing the vehicle to burst into flames.
A woman from Pittsburg was taken into custody. No officers were injured during the incident, police said, however, it is not yet known if the woman was injured in the crash.
Investigators from the Oakland Police Department Felony Assault Unit responded to the scene for a follow-up investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact 510-238-3426.
