An Illinois woman was arrested after she allegedly went through the belongings of an individual who was sleeping in the lobby of a police station.

On Monday, Rachel Jones, 48, was arrested by Galesburg Police when they discovered she had stolen an individual's lighter who was sleeping in the Galesburg Police Station, WGIL reported.
After taking the lighter, Jones went into the bathroom of the police station and used it to smoke a cigarette.
Officers confronted Jones about the lighter, returned it to the sleeping individual, and escorted her out of the station 45 minutes later.
Jones then returned, and officers once again watched as she went through the pockets of the sleeping individual for the second time.
Officers then approached Jones once more, and she was taken into custody after trying to take loose change from the sleeping individual.
This is not Jones' first run-in with the law, as she has at least convictions for larceny, according to police reports.
On Monday, she was transported to Knox County Jail and charged with theft with a prior conviction.
