PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Actress Jane Seymour unveiled her “Open Heart” sculpture in Bradenton, Florida last week.
KDKA Radio’s Larry Richert was there for the ceremony and he was able to ask Seymour a few questions about the project.
She said the idea was inspired by her mother, a war prisoner for over three years.
“The hardest thing in the world to do is to accept. If you can accept what’s happened and open your heart, and somehow reach out to someone else and help them, in any way that you can, you will have purpose in your life,” Seymour’s mother said her.
“When you have purpose, it will make you feel good about yourself, make you love yourself.”
The same piece of art could be coming to Pittsburgh in the future with Mt. Washington as a possible location.
