PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers posted on their Facebook page that a 2 ½ foot long alligator was captured on Saturday night in the Carrick neighborhood.
Police officers were called to the 300 block of East Agnew Avenue around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday after an alligator was found on a porch.
Police put the alligator into a box, took it to the Zone headquarters, and called Animal Care & Control officers.
The alligator was transported to the Humane Animal Rescue in the East End.
Police do not believe this alligator is connected with the previous two alligators found in Pittsburgh, one in the Beechview neighborhood on Thursday, and the first one at the South Side Riverfront Park on May 18th.
If you encounter an alligator, or any exotic or wild animal, do not approach it and call 911.
