President Biden is coming to Pittsburgh next week to tout the COVID-19 relief package he signed into law this month. Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald confirmed to Marty Griffin on News Radio KDKA that the president will be here next Wednesday, March 31st.

"...not only to talk about the American Rescue Plan that they just passed", he says,
"but I think he's also probably going to talk about infrastructure and energy and manufacturing and all the things that matter to us around jobs".

Fitzgerald, who says he spoke with the White House this afternoon, says it most likely will not be Biden's only visit to Western Pennsylvania this year.

"I would not be surprised if this year, because I think they are planning on doing the Labor Day parade again in September, that the President might come back, we'll see. We don't know yet", he said.

Details about time and location of the president's visit have not been released.
