More encouraging news this morning from the family of Karns City football player Mason Martin.
Mason's father Denny posted to his Facebook page that his son had been dealing with agitation, drops in heart rate and oxygen levels.
In the last week, all of those things have improved.
He appears to be getting better rest and is more comfortable eating soft food.
Mason also appears to be getting stronger - and has even been able to walk a few times with assistance.
“When he’s healthy and sleeping throughout the night, I can guarantee we’ll see big things start to happen,” Martin said in the post. “He has shown it before, like his last week at Mercy, and I know he’s ready to show it again. Thank you all for the amazing support. Please continue to pray and fight for him.”
He has been in the hospital since September when he suffered a significant brain bleed during a football game.
