Family visits to resume at Kane Community Living Centers

Kane Community Living Centers will once again allow family visits at all four of their facilities this week.

In a news release, Allegheny County says visitation is "based on having no positive COVID cases in the building or unit where visiting will occur and low positivity rates in the county and surrounding counties."

There will be some restrictions in place. The county says visitations will be limited to two family members at a time and visits must be pre-scheduled.

In additoon, upon arrival visitors will have their temperature taken, be asked a series of screening questions and will be required to wash their hands and wear a face mask.

No homemade food can be brought in, it must be pre-packaged for from a restaurant. Any clothing brought for a resident must be bagged and labeled and left at a screening table.

Visitors have not been allowed since March 13, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
