Grove City College was the target of a false "swatting" call on Sunday.
A heavy police presence responded to the college after a report of shots fired at Buhl Library.
The campus was placed on lockdown, but no shooter, victims, or witnesses were found.
State police believe it was a swatting incident, a fake emergency call meant to trigger a large police response.
The lockdown was lifted around 7 p.m., and officials confirmed there was no ongoing threat.
Police say several swatting calls occurred in the region that day and are investigating who’s responsible.
Anyone with information is urged to contact state police.
