When it comes to jobs in the region, Pittsburgh is doing much better than the rest of the country.
So says Darrin Kelly, President of the Allegheny and Fayette Central Labor Council.
"We're pretty much almost 100 percent back to where we were. We do have a lot of work going forward," he said. "This was a combination of organized labor working with our partners in government and with our employers making sure everybody was safe and I think that's the big reason why we're rebounding better than other regions."
Kelly, who was a guest on the NewsRadio KDKA morning show, also announcing that Pittsburgh's Labor Day Parade is coming back this year, after being canceled last year due to the pandemic.
