PITTSBURGH (Newsradio KDKA) - The Pennsylvania Senate Health and Human Services Committee advanced a measure Monday that would ban vaccine passports in the commonwealth.
"We need to be proactive and get out ahead of the challenges that we can see," State Sen. Kristin Phillips-Hill said during the KDKA Radio Morning Show Thursday. "Our bill would prohibit the state, or any local governing entity, from requiring proof of vaccination by way of these vaccine passports that we're seeing in states like New York."
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf told the KDKA Radio Morning Show in April that he does not support vaccine supports.
"Then he can sign the legislation," Phillips-Hill said. "A lot of people have asked why would you even go down this path if the governor has made that kind of a statement. And again, we hear the governor say one thing and then do another thing."
