PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) — Pittsburgh Police arrested a man Saturday after reports of a stabbing had been called in.
The incident occurred in the 500 block of Liberty Avenue, at McDonald’s.
Police originally arrived at the scene at around 2 p.m. and brought an adult male into custody while sending a 12-year-old male to a local hospital in critical condition.
The male child had been stabbed in the neck.
The assailant, 51-year-old Charles Edward Turner, was arrested in connection with the stabbing.
Turner is currently housed in the Allegheny County Jail and is being charged with criminal attempt homicide, four counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of simple assault.
