On Friday, May 28, the New Castle Police Department was made aware of possible threats to students and schools.

After investigating and actually speaking with the person accused of making the threats, the department deemed the threats credible.

New Castle Police found that the person responsible was possibly located near New Castle High School, which was holding its Prom at the time.

The school was placed in lockdown and guests had to be escorted to their vehicles by law enforcement.

Monday evening, police announced that they arrested an individual, who will charged with felony terroristic threats.

New Castle Police believe this is the only person involved in making the threats.
