A new entertainment plaza taking shape on the North Shore may also feature a giant screen.

The Pittsburgh planning commission is considering a large video screen where people can watch Pirates games at the location next to PNC Park on Mazeroski Way.

There are concerns the screen will be visible from the Parkway, which could be against zoning laws.

But Pittsburgh-based Kolano Design, the group behind the video screen, says planted trees would block the screen from drivers.

The 30,000-square-foot plaza will also have a bar/restaurant when completed.

The complex is set to open alongside the beginning of the 2025 Pirates season.

A decision on the screen is expected over the next two weeks.
