
The City of Pittsburgh announced plans for this year's 4th of July celebration.
Festivities will take place on July 4 in Point State Park.
The Fort Pitt Museum will have family-friendly activities taking place in the afternoon beginning at 1pm and the City's festivities will begin at 6pm.
The day will feature live music, food, family entertainment and will of course be capped off with fireworks.

“It's time to get together and celebrate our life and independence – together,” said Mayor William Peduto. “After a year of suffering there is no better way to do that than joining our neighbors for the most Pittsburgh of all things, which of course is a giant fireworks display.”
Security checkpoints will be set up at the Park's entrances.
Last year's festivities were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
