The City of Pittsburgh is expanding its tracking of gun-related data.
The city will use money received as a grant from the Everytown Support Fund to hire a Gun Violence Data Fellow.
According to Mayor Bil Peduto's office, this person will be responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing and interpreting information as it relates to gun violence in the city.
Legislation is expected to be introduced to city council Tuesday to accept the $200,000 grant from Everytown.
