A Canadian man has been on the run with his 7-year-old daughter for the last two months because he doesn't want the little girl to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

Michael Jackson (yes, that's his real name) claims that he took his daughter and fled to prevent her from being vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Jackson appeared on the conservative online show "Live With Laura-Lynn" while on the run with his daughter to defend his decision. He said that his ex-wife, who has authority over in medical issues according to their custody agreement, wanted to get the little girl vaccinated and he "couldn't let it happen."

"My choice was made then and there that this wasn't going to work, and that I had to protect my daughter from it," said Jackson, who was semi-disguised in sunglasses and a black beanie. "So … I kept her."

Jackson pointed to unsubstantiated theories that suggest the vaccine could harm children and cause infertility.

"Even if there's a one in a million chance that your daughter could, not even die, but there's a one in a million chance she couldn't have a baby, wouldn't that be enough," he said.

Jackson also put his daughter in front of the camera to give a statement.

"It can change your DNA," she said. "I don't believe God wants me to. And it can make you sick and kill you."

Judges have issued two court orders for Jackson to return the girl to her mother, who last saw the 7-year-old in mid-November, according to CBC News. However, authorities haven't been able to locate Jackson to enforce the orders.

"She's only seven. She needs to be home. I just want her home," mother Mariecar Jackson told the CBC. "Mommy will never stop looking for you. Mommy loves you so much. Every day, I pray that some day you'll be home."

Anyone who may have information on the pair's whereabouts is asked to contact police.
